One award per year, generally $500-$1,000.  Available to high school seniors in Dutchess County who plan to pursue a career in music.

Two awards per year, renewable for all four years.  Available to high school seniors in Dutchess County who will be attending the Crane School of Music.

Two awards per year, generally $1,000 each. Available to high school seniors in Dutchess County who plan on pursuing a teaching career. Applications should contact Doris Kelly at mscw12@aol.com for more information.

Matinee Musicale Scholarship

The Matinee Musicale of Beacon, New York will award a scholarship of  (amount TBD, but has been anywhere from $250 to $500) to a high school senior from Dutchess County or the lower Hudson Valley who will be attending a music school or a college as a music major during the 2009-2010 academic year. Applications should be submitted in May (exact date not determined yet) to:

Stringendo offers need-based scholarships to attend their orchestra, fiddle and summer camp programs.

Numerous music and education scholarships are available through the Community Foundation of Dutchess County.  Some specific music education scholarships to look for:

    * Ronnie Berg Drummers Scholarship (percussionists)

    * Stephanie D. Brown Memorial Scholarship (female, education major)

    * David Jagaciewski Scholarship (Poughkeepsie High School, arts major)

    * Robert H. Morrison Memorial Scholarship (Kethcham High School, education major)

    * Justine Winters Memorial Scholarship (John Jay, education or theater major)

Minimum $1,000 award to a child, grandchild or parent of a SUNY Potsdam graduate.

Awarded to a child or grandchild of a SUNY Fredonia alumni.
